Eisch Traditional Duck Decanter
Duck decanters have their origin in the earliest wine jugs used in ancient times. Translated into a modern, attractive design, our Eisch Crystal Dripless Duck Decanter combines traditional wine culture with today's knowledge of wine handling.
This lead free crystal duck wine decanter provides younger red wines to be in contact with atmospheric oxygen in order to develop their optimum bouquet. In order to ensure best possible contact between wine and atmospheric oxygen, the Eisch Duck Decanter with NO DROP EFFECT© is of a big-bellied design and is dimensioned such that a standard 0.75 litre bottle of wine just fills it up half. At this point, there is a maximum contact area between wine and atmospheric oxygen, which is the best possible prerequisite for bouquet development.
With NO DROP EFFECT©, the Eisch breathable wine glass factory now for the first time utilizes this effect for consumer glassware: It is employed to avoid undesirable drops when pouring drinks from carafes and duck decanters.
Who is not familiar with this: After pouring, drops of red wine run down the outside of the decanting carafe, and leave ugly stains on the tablecloth or on the vessel itself. With the NO DROP EFFECT©, this is a thing of the past. Already when wine is poured, the NO DROP EFFECT© almost completely prevents the formation of drops at the rim of the glass. As a result, no drops of red wine will run down the outside of the carafe. This guarantees perfect stain protection of vessel and table-cloth!
The NO DROP EFFECT© is based on a special treatment of the glass surface which permanently prevents drops from running down the outside of carafes and duck decanters.
